Business Demand Manager (m/f/x)

As Business Demand Manager you will manage Utimaco Business Demands. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting Business Demands and evaluating and prioritizing these demands from the Business units.
You will be responsible for evaluating the efficiency and costs of established processes, developing roadmap and improvement strategies, and facilitating changes. You may also be required to update process documents and conduct efficiency audits.
To ensure success in this role, you should have a deep understanding of business management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple teams. Ultimately, as business demand manager you are able to identify and improve key processes, thereby reducing staff costs, production costs, and production times.

Your tasks

  • Manage the governance of Business Demands through the business demand process in terms of modeling, forecasting and planning
  • Oversee the business demand process from start to end, to use it to forecast and plan how to meet demands within cost and time
  • Improve connections and secure stakeholders between Business Units and IT, operation & delivery in terms of demand handling
  • Take accountability and responsibility towards Functional responsibility and assigned process roles, review Service Level Agreements, Change & Project Requests, and Project Management
  • Collect and validate business demands and impact on process, roadmap & architecture between Business Units and IT, Operations and Delivery
  • Forecast and prioritize future and existing demands, based on business value, strategic importance, level of risk and impact on organization
  • Secure efficient demand planning to meet internal/external expectations and that teams have the ability to resolve the demands within given cost and timeframe
  •  Drive the Demand Governance Forum, meet with key personnel and enable efficient communication towards stakeholders
  • Constantly finding ways to improve operational flexibility and reduce demand variability
  • Accountable for collecting and transforming Business demands to define an execution strategy and roadmap for business process improvements and the relevant application field (e.g., SAP, Sales Force, Atlassian Suite)
  • Provide input on forecasted new capability needs (resources, tools, availability, capacity planning and technology) based on information from Business units
  • Cost control, forecasting and planning from maintenance perspective, including OPEX and CAPEX planning
  • Provide input to Demand Governance Forum with regards to future strategic development and developments
  • Evaluate the cost/benefits of various solutions / different technologies for system architecture or parts of them

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, project management, or in a related field
  • A Master's degree in business administration will be advantageous
  • At least two years' experience in business process management in a related industry
  • Proficiency in business management software
  • Strong commercial experience with good understanding of strategy tools, competitive analysis, and financial business models
  • Preferably MBA or equivalent experience
  • Management and leadership in a matrix organization
  • Ability to effectively manage time while building long-term value
  • Accustomed to work with short deadlines
  • Strong ability to develop senior level relationships with key players internally and externally
  • Patience and maturity to leverage on the capabilities and assets of a global leader, as well as the passion and drive of an early-stage startup
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and drive
