Global Strategic Purchasing Manager (m/f/x)

Your tasks

Your mission:

As a Strategic Global Purchasing Manager (m/f/x) you will be responsible for development and handling of the company’s end to end sourcing operations and processes globally. You will be responsible to define procurement strategies and improve our sourcing activities in different categories like production material, manufacturing services, logistics and transportation, SW / HW development and certification services, IT demand, temporary labour, consulting  and others. You will develop supplying partnerships and drive the assessment and implementation of new options.


Your tasks:

  • Manage the company’s global supply portfolio;
  • Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies;
  • Analyze and calculate costs of materials and services and implement methods to decrease expenditures;
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, benchmarking and target costing exercises;
  • Discover and partner with trustworthy vendors and suppliers
  • Negotiate contracts and increase coverage of spent through frame agreements
  • Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency and ensure early procurement envolvement;
  • Cooperate with and act as single point of contact for internal stakeholders to guarantee agreement on terms and processes;
  • Estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques;

Your profile

  • University degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Business Engineering or comparable studies;
  • Min. 3 years of  work experience as Sourcing Manager, Procurement Manager or in closely related functions;
  • Strong negotiation skills, ability to work with deadlines;
  • Familiar with materials management processes in ERP systems, ideally SAP B1
  • Experienced in working with figures, data collection, evaluation and interpretation;
  • Ability to sustain network relationships based on strong understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement;
  • Strong project management, time management and leadership skills;
  • Convinced team player with a proactive, service and solution-oriented way of working.
