Head of Service Operations (m/f/d)

Your tasks

  • Lead and mentor our Service Operations team, fostering continuous learning.
  • Manage data center operations, ensuring availability, scalability, and performance.
  • Oversee reliability and functionality of the Trust-as-a-Service Platform and services.
  • Implement DevOps practices, automate infrastructure deployments, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to cloud/data center strategies, supporting OPEX and CAPEX planning.
  • Plan and manage 24/7 on-call schedules for the team and collaborate with global support and NOC teams for timely customer support and incident resolution.
  • Implement and maintain a CMDB, and create and maintain Service Documentation.
  • Drive operational excellence initiatives and ensure targets are met for service quality and efficiency and manage budget and costs, lead and deliver projects within budget.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; master's degree or equivalent experience preferred including 5+ years of experience in managing service platforms, applications, or infrastructure.
  • Strong experience with infrastructure components like Enterprise Linux, Logging and Monitoring frameworks, Microsoft Azure, VMWare, Pure Storage, and Juniper.
  • Background in DevOps practices, automation, and continuous improvement along with in-depth understanding of service platforms, infrastructure, and data center operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills for efficient incident resolution and process optimization.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional teamwork skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (German and English), listening and teamwork skills, and effective presentation skills.
