HR Business Partner (m/f/x) – Payroll & Operations

Location: Aachen/ Düsseldorf, Germany

Your tasks

  • First point of contact for our Utimaco team in all matters relating to the employment relationship and payroll relevant questions e.g., time management, labor, tax, and social security issues;
  • Ensure preparatory monthly payroll in cooperation with our external service provider;
  • Cooperate closely with the business ensuring a conscientious steering and administration of all operational processes;
  • Process administration from change assignments, preparation of certificates and attestations, personnel data entry and maintenance of the employee file;
  • Act in close partnership with the Finance team in all payroll-, (social) insurances, tax and related topics;
  • Act in close partnership with the Controlling team in all HR cost management and compensation related topics like annual budget preparation, continuous reporting, Sales Commissions and MBO schemes;
  • Kick off and run individual projects in the HR Operations, develop and implement internal HR guidelines and policies;
  • Optimize operational HR processes, i.e., as all topics related to benefits, variable compensation and total rewards;
  • Cooperate with the German working council in a trusting and constructive way;
  • Create HR specific KPIs, analysis, reports and statistics.

Your profile

  • University degree in business administration or similar education with several years of professional HR experience;
  • You have experience in payroll. If you have already worked in a Shared Service Center and/or have experience in the cooperation with an external payroll provider: even better!
  • Sound knowledge in the areas of wage tax and social security law;
  • Comprehensive operational HR experience with a deep understanding of how operational mechanisms interlink, ideally gained in an IT or technology company;
  • Pleased in securing and optimizing operational tasks with a great attention to detail, documentation and top-quality;
  • Convinced, pro-active team player and business partner with a cooperative, service and solution-oriented way of working and the ability to drive projects and tasks independently;
  • Very good analytical-conceptual skills, results-driven with a pleasure in constant process optimization and dynamic change;
  • Very good knowledge of MS office programs, VEDA experience is a plus;
  • Fluent in German and English.
