QA Test Engineer (m/f/x)

Your tasks

• Implementing of automated test scripts by using languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript or Bash etc.
• Create test cases which cover functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, portability, and security of the software to a sufficient degree
• Set up and run tests according to test specifications and analyze test results before taking appropriate actions.
• Identify defects (software, documentation, etc.), raising and tracking them to resolution
• Explain test results, trends and potential issues to software developers, technical writers etc.
• Installing and configuring operating systems to perform test cases mainly in Linux
• Create reports on test activities, opportunities and risks, and explain recommendations to stakeholders
• Identifying and implementing process improvements for test efficiency
• Creating relevant test cases and adapting existing test cases to meet requirements / extend coverage
• Making estimates of work/effort requirements, based on high level requirements, to contribute to planning process

Your profile

• Strong communication / presentation skills
• Fluent German and English in spoken and written form
• Experience with working in cross functional teams with agile methods, such as SCRUM
• Confident use of standard tools, such as Git, Maven, Jenkins, Jira and Confluence, especially for planning and maintaining projects
