System Engineer (m/f/x)

Your tasks

• Maintain and service of our R&D development computers;
• Handling physical hardware and virtualized servers and applications;
• Tool-assisted monitoring of the entire network environment;
• Troubleshooting for network and application issues;
• Assisting colleagues (m/f/x) with infrastructure system issues;
• Install and update Linux-based applications and services;
• Plan, execute and monitor the backup of our numerous systems;
• Integration of our products and services into the development.

Your profile

• IT specialist in system integration or comparable;
• Experience in network monitoring and troubleshooting methods;
• Interest in dealing with current Linux distributions (especially Redhat Enterprise Linux) and advanced hardware architectures;
• Experience in Linux systems is a plus;
• Passion and understanding of automation of regular tasks through scripts or other automation tools;
• Knowledge of network architectures and routing;
• Interest in IT security, especially encryption technologies and network security.
