Alors qu'une grande partie de notre vie se déroule en ligne, la question de la confiance est devenue l'un des problèmes les plus urgents de notre époque.
Bien que nous soyons une société de plus en plus mondiale, il existe de profondes divisions nationales sur la manière de répondre à ces changements fondamentaux dans la façon dont nous vivons. Dans notre premier livre blanc Circles of Trust, publié en 2022, nous avons interrogé un échantillon de consommateurs en Allemagne, au Royaume-Uni et en Espagne et avons constaté que toutes les personnes interrogées partageaient une contradiction centrale : les gens sont enthousiastes à l'égard de la technologie numérique, mais se méfient de sa sécurité. Cette année (2023), nous avons élargi la portée de notre enquête aux États-Unis, au Mexique et à Singapour, ce qui nous permet de voir comment les gens, dans des sociétés très différentes, s'adaptent à la vie connectée.
En élargissant la portée de l'enquête, nous avons découvert que la richesse des citoyens d'un pays, mesurée par le produit intérieur brut (PIB) par habitant, est un puissant indicateur de l'attitude de ce pays à l'égard de la technologie numérique.

Findings
Only 19% of respondents don’t worry about the security of their data
36% of respondents have been the victim of the data loss, identity theft or digital fraud.
38% of respondents use smart home devices
41% of respondents believe that a connected world would make their everyday lives easier.
While 36% of respondents believe that cash is the most secure form of payment, 32% would prefer to use payment cards.
64% of respondents have some level of trust in their bank to keep their money and data secure.
Respondents from the USA report the highest levels of digital fraud.
Only 14% of respondents consider smart home devices to be secure.
Spain and Mexico are the countries most worried about data security.
Methodology
Research for this survey was carried out by YouGov between April 3-7, 2023. The exact number of participants in each country was as follows: Germany: 1,056 / UK: 1,058 / US: 1,054 / Singapore: 1,075 / Mexico: 1,063 / Spain: 1,056. The results were weighted and are representative of the respective country's population over 18 of age.

Cercles de confiance 2022
l'étude "Circles of Trust : How the UK Public Perceives Digital Risk" présente les résultats d'une enquête menée au Royaume-Uni.
Il montre des différences significatives entre les régions et les générations lorsqu'il s'agit de faire confiance aux secteurs public et privé en matière de sécurité numérique. Le livre blanc montre comment les internautes britanniques perçoivent la sécurité dans l'écosystème numérique et dans des secteurs tels que l'automobile, les soins de santé et les secteurs public et gouvernemental, et les compare aux niveaux de confiance en Allemagne et en Espagne.
Methodology
YouGov surveyed a total of 3,039 people in Germany (1,012), Spain (1,009) and the United Kingdom (1,018) on behalf of Utimaco between March 21 and March 25, 2022. The results were weighted and are representative for the population aged 18 and over.
