Los algoritmos Quantum Protect de Utimaco superan con éxito las pruebas del NIST.

AACHEN, Alemania – 27 de octubre, 2025 – Utimaco, proveedor líder mundial de soluciones de seguridad informática, ha anunciado hoy que las implementaciones de los algoritmos Post Quantum-Crypto (PQC) LMS, ML-KEM y ML-DSA han superado con éxito las pruebas CAVP del Instituto Nacional de Estándares y Tecnología (NIST). Estos resultados certifican la seguridad a prueba de futuro del paquete de aplicaciones «Quantum Protect» como tecnología criptográfica basada en módulos de seguridad de hardware (HSM), lo que permite a los clientes de la empresa protegerse ahora contra las amenazas futuras.
La llegada de los ordenadores cuánticos supone una amenaza para el panorama criptográfico actual. Se prevé que en 2030 exista un ordenador cuántico relevante desde el punto de vista criptográfico capaz de descifrar los sistemas de clave pública comunes, como RSA o ECC. Aunque pueda parecer lejano, las organizaciones deben planificar ahora su migración a la criptografía poscuántica (PQC) para mantener su seguridad. Siguiendo el calendario establecido por el NIST el año pasado, la Comisión Europea también refuerza su ciberseguridad con la PQC y ha establecido un calendario para que sus Estados miembros «comiencen la transición a la criptografía poscuántica antes de finales de 2026. Al mismo tiempo, la protección de las infraestructuras críticas debe pasar a la PQC lo antes posible, a más tardar a finales de 2030».

La funcionalidad SDK de Utimaco, que viene estandarizada con sus HSM, permite a sus clientes personalizar sus funcionalidades basadas en algoritmos PQC de acuerdo con los requisitos individuales de su negocio.
