VoIP 신호는 통화 콘텐츠와 분리되어 있기 때문에 VoIP(Voice over IP)의 합법적인 감청에는 일반적으로 두 단계의 프로세스가 포함됩니다. 감시 대상자의 통화 이벤트를 가로채려면 VoIP 통화 에이전트(소프트스위치)가 통화 신호를 모니터링해야 합니다. 주소와 라우팅 정보가 감지되면 미디어 게이트웨이(또는 경계 게이트웨이)를 프로비저닝하여 차단 대상의 통화 콘텐츠를 캡처할 수 있습니다. 다른 옵션으로는 프록시 스위치 역할을 하며 대상 통화를 가로채서 LIMS로 미러링할 수 있는 세션 보더 컨트롤러(SBC)를 사용하는 방법이 있습니다.

Utimaco LIMS는 ETSI TS 102 232, PacketCable, ATIS T1.678 등의 국가 법률 및 국제 표준에 따라 감청된 데이터와 미디어가 권한 있는 법 집행 기관에 전달되기 전에 보호 및 중개합니다
