Aachen, Germany and Madrid, Spain, February 14, 2022 – Utimaco, a leading global provider of IT security solutions, had acquired REALSEC, the Spanish IT security company and Hardware Security Module (HSM) provider, in June 2021. In his function as Country Manager for Spain and Mexico, Pablo Juan will lead REALSEC's strategy and expansion in line with Utimaco's global objectives closely aligning the joint operations in Latin America.
In turn, he will build on the strong positioning of the REALSEC brand in the Spanish-speaking markets, while at the same time open up new markets e.g. on the African continent. Focus industries are the financial sector as well as the public and retail sectors, where REALSEC has an important installed base of customers.
Pablo Juan has more than 12 years of experience in the financial, payment and security markets in Latin America, the Iberian Peninsula, North Africa and the Middle East, where he has worked in strategy management, business development and marketing functions for companies such as Gemalto and Giesecke+Devrient.
He is an Electronics and Communications Engineer and holds a Master's degree in Engineering from Chalmers University, Sweden, as well as studies in top management at IPADE Business School. “I am very excited in this new professional stage with Utimaco, where me and the whole team will continue to build on the positioning of REALSEC and Utimaco as the references in the digital security market with an expanded, innovative solution portfolio and the objective to offer the most competitive solutions and the best technical service to our current and new customers” said Pablo Juan.
