Listing enables MYHSM to support Financial Institutions to accelerate cloud-based payment strategies and keep pace with surge in public cloud adoption

IT security solution provider Utimaco and achelos GmbH, a manufacturer-independent software development and consulting firm, have further deepened their longstanding cooperation with a partnership contract. Accordingly, achelos is now marketing all products and solutions from the Utimaco portfolio as a value added reseller.

EQT has announced that the EQT Mid Market Europe fund has agreed to sell Utimaco to SGT Capital LLC, a global alternative asset manager with offices in Germany and Singapore. The transaction is subject to regulatory conditions and approvals and is expected to close in Q4 2021. It will allow Utimaco to continue its strong development and execution of its strategic growth plans.

This acquisition is the next step in Utimaco’s strategy to build a comprehensive solutions and services portfolio with strong global delivery capability, following the acquisitions of US-based Geobridge and UK-based MYHSM in 2020.

Effective immediately, the two companies work together to offer state-of-the-art multi-channel payment as well as cyber security solutions to the financial sector.
