Utimaco DiskEncrypt ermöglicht eine vollständige, sektorbasierte Verschlüsselung von Festplatten. Da vor dem Booten des Betriebssystems eine Authentisierung des Benutzers erforderlich ist, werden die Daten auch bei Diebstahl oder Verlust des Laptops wirksam geschützt.
Die Lösung ist vom BSI für Informationen mit der Einstufung VS-NfD, EU-RESTRICTED und NATO-RESTRICTED zugelassen – so wird aus einem herkömmlichen Laptop ganz einfach ein VS-NfD-Laptop.
