Utimaco’s LAN Crypt File and Folder Encryption provides software-based encryption to secure files and folders. Its persistent encryption protects data at rest and in motion, even when shared or moved, while a role-split approach separates network administration from security management. LAN Crypt 2Go is the logical extension highly relevant for secure file sharing, both internally and externally, with user managed keys. With LAN Crypt v14, organizations can now migrate seamlessly from LAN Crypt Classic (OnPrem) to LAN Crypt Cloud. Parallel operation of both environments ensures a phased, non-disruptive transition, with automatic transfer of users, groups, keys, and encryption policies.

LAN Crypt introduces an integrated migration path from LAN Crypt Classic to LAN Crypt Cloud. Administrative objects, encryption policies, and key assignments are transferred automatically, while parallel operation of both environments allows organizations to migrate at their own pace without disrupting existing workflows. Optionally, Utimaco ESKM enables on-premises key custody throughout and after the migration.
