About NITES
NITES (National IT Evaluation Scheme) enables the evaluation and certification of IT products that meet high assurance requirements for Singapore government agencies. By relying on certified, high-quality products, companies can ensure they are implementing the most secure solutions possible.
NITES and Common Criteria (CC)
The National IT Evaluation Scheme (NITES), established by Singapore’s Cyber Security Agency (CSA), ensures that Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) meet the highest security standards for government use. While primarily designed for Singapore’s national security needs, NITES is also recognized across ASEAN countries and accepted by other governments.
NITES delivers strong security assurance by aligning with international benchmarks, particularly the Common Criteria (CC) framework. It largely adopts the CC methodology to evaluate products at high assurance levels, reinforcing its credibility and global relevance.
