Über die Integration
Dieser Leitfaden beschreibt die Integration eines UTIMACO CryptoServer Hardware-Sicherheitsmoduls (HSM) mit Apache Tomcat. Dabei wird der von Apache Tomcat verwendete private SSL-Schlüssel sicher gespeichert und die kryptografischen Vorgänge an das HSM ausgelagert.
Apache Tomcat
Die Apache Tomcat-Software bildet die Grundlage für zahlreiche groß angelegte, unternehmenskritische Webanwendungen in den unterschiedlichsten Branchen und Organisationen. Die Apache Tomcat-Software ist eine Open-Source-Implementierung der Spezifikationen Jakarta Servlet, Jakarta Server Pages, Jakarta Expression Language, Jakarta WebSocket, Jakarta Annotations und Jakarta Authentication. Diese Spezifikationen sind Teil der Jakarta EE-Plattform.
UTIMACO CryptoServer-HSM
CryptoServer ist ein Hardware-Sicherheitsmodul, das von der UTIMACO IS GmbH entwickelt wurde. Der CryptoServer ist eine physikalisch geschützte, spezialisierte Computereinheit zur Durchführung sensibler kryptografischer Aufgaben und zur sicheren Verwaltung sowie Speicherung kryptografischer Schlüssel und Daten. Er kann als universelle, unabhängige Sicherheitskomponente für heterogene Computersysteme eingesetzt werden.
