Utimaco’s u.warn CBC has been certified by the US Federal Emergency Management Agency

With this certification, Utimaco now is an eligible supplier to deploy public warning systems over standalone 5G networks

Aachen, Germany, 15 November 2023 - Utimaco, a leading global provider of IT security solutions and Public Warning Systems, is pleased to announce that US Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded the certification as a Commercial Mobile Service Provider (CMSP) Gateway to its globally recognized Public Warning System u.warn Cell Broadcast Center (CBC).

u.warn CBC is supporting the Commercial Mobile Alert System (C-interface) to communicate with Federal Alert Gateway of FEMA. With this certification, any authority or mobile network operator that is considering the use of a Commercial Mobile Alert System (or Wireless Emergency Alerts) for Public Warning Systems, especially but not limited to 5G networks, can now choose Utimaco as a supplier for deployment.
