Senior Program Manager

Location: Campbell

Your tasks

The Program Manager is hybrid role with 3 days in the Campbell, California HQ office (no relocation available) working directly with Utimaco’s Research and Development team as well as our Product division. This position is critical in ensuring that initiatives are integrated seamlessly while the focus is aligning interrelated projects with our strategic goals. The successful candidate will identify and coordinate the inter-dependencies among projects, products, and other important strategic initiatives across an organization.

This includes:

  • Overseeing the whole program, which could be split into sub-projects managed by different project managers.
  • Managing the program and therefore the interaction of different project managers / teams
  • Delivering successful program outcomes.

In an organizational context, a program refers to a group of related projects (or a combination of projects and programs) that together support a strategic business initiative. This initiative could include launching a product, implementing a new sales process, or opening a new location.

The program manager’s job is to take a high-level view of the entire program and strategically guide project managers to ensure they are all working effectively toward the program’s objective.

Then each individual project that falls under a program’s umbrella is coordinated by a project manager

Your profile

  • Develop and improve the PLC process
  • Onboard and train new Program Managers
  • Implement program within given budget, timeline and quality
  • Customer satisfaction in service implementation
  • Efficiency in delivery of Programs
  • Follow PLC process landscape and compliance requirements
  • Take accountability and responsibility towards assigned process roles
  • Time objective: Spend of budgeted time on planned tasks
  • Documentation of all steps, decisions and checklist in the Product Lifecycle

  • Defines new process steps and improvements, automations and tools
  • Leads a group of Program Managers Leads and/or coordinates cross-functional project/program teams from design to delivery of fully developed products that are ready for customer use
  • Daily program management throughout the program/product life-cycle
  • Defines the program governance
  • Plans the overall program and monitors the progress
  • Defines cross-functional interfaces
  • Manages and utilizes resources across projects
  • Coordinates program time schedules
  • Manages the program’s budget
  • Manages overlapping program risks and issues and takes corrective measurements
  • Coordinates the program and its inter-dependencies
  • Manages stakeholders’ communication
  • Maintains and manages Workflow Approvals (PLC Gates)
  • Drives implementation of new tools, educate other stakeholders and program manager and develops trainings within Utimaco Academy
  • Drive and manage time reporting, including tool and process support for all relevant stakeholders in the PLC process; Aligns deliverables to the program’s outcome
  • Manages the main program documents
  • Manages common change management
  • Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions
  • Investigates facts and develops solutions to problems during the design and planning phases
  • Contributes to and liaises with product management, supply chain management, production, marketing, engineering and sales
  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate risks associated with program activities.
  • Develop contingency plans to address potential challenges or delays.
  • Manages own productivity but as well other program manager and stakeholders' productivity.
