Global Facility Manager (m/f/d)

Location: Aachen

Your tasks

  • Manage technical and administrative aspects of building operations, including building technology.
  • Plan, oversee, and administer the facilities and grounds.
  • Take charge of all rental and operating revenues, encompassing energy, electricity, water, and wastewater supply.
  • Organize and supervise telecommunications and IT services at various locations.
  • Oversee housekeeping, facility management, and cleaning services.
  • Plan, budget, and execute projects such as renovations, relocations, modernizations, and maintenance work.
  • Provide support in the selection of potential global locations.
  • Administer facility infrastructure, including handling building plans, furnishings, insurance, standards, and regulations.
  • Plan and lead Front Desk(s)/Reception personnel, ensuring effective staffing and operations.
  • Develop maintenance plans and coordinate all maintenance activities.
  • Assume the role of safety officer, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Solicit, evaluate, and verify vendor proposals and quotes.
  • Manage and coordinate activities with external contractors and service providers.
  • Conduct regular visual inspections of building complexes to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.

Your profile

  • Completed technical education or degree with a focus on Facility Management.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively leading new construction projects and corporate relocations, including international exposure.
  • Proven track record in commercial facility management, showcasing expertise in optimizing property usage.
  • Solid understanding of construction technology and business economics.
  • Practical knowledge of building systems and a solution-oriented approach.
  • Strong negotiation skills and excellent communication abilities in both German and English.
  • Assertiveness, reliability, organizational prowess, and a confident demeanor.
  • Willingness to travel, both domestically and internationally.
  • Proficient in MS-Office.
